The life size bronze in the example photos was commissioned for the Clymer Museum
to be historically accurate. The
number one piece in the edition is currently on display in the Yakima
Nation Museum and Cultural Center in Toppenish, WA. ( See photo of piece
#1 in
museum under the major pieces tab). The physical
characteristics include a flattened forehead denoting tribal status and
with a stocky build due to the
nature of the daily activities such as rowing canoes. The spear is done
in a manner that was consistent with the culture. Cedar bark clothing
and hat are also depicted. It is finished in a traditional brown
tone patina.
Columbia Basin Fisherman is available for viewing at my studio in
Kalama, WA. The # 1 in the edition was appraised for $85,000. Pricing is available on
